Roberta Furcolo - full name Roberta Deniz Furcolo - is the founder and director of Red Advisors, a board member of Aon Italy and a Senior Advisor for iGenius, a company specializing in artificial intelligence solutions for regulated industries.

With over 30 years of experience in financial and insurance services, Roberta Furcolo founded Red Advisors Ltd in London in 2015, a consultancy and angel investor firm active in scouting and investing in innovative startups. After spending 10 years in London, she relocated the headquarters to Milan in 2023.

As demonstrated by her career, her interests and professional commitments primarily focus on projects with a strong innovative impact.

Roberta Furcolo holds a degree in Economics and Business with honors and completed postgraduate training in Corporate Finance and Financial Markets.

After her initial professional experiences, in 1995 she joined Eptafund sgr to launch — among the first in Italy — open pension funds. She quickly expanded her responsibilities to the asset management sector, serving as Pension Funds and Collective Investment Funds Director. Eptafund was the fund management company of Eptaconsors, jointly owned by seven Savings Banks, and under the management of CEO Marco Bolgiani, it stood out among market operators.

In 2000, at the outset of the Internet revolution in Italy, Roberta Furcolo joined Intesa e-Lab SpA as Head of Business Development and Alliances. Intesa e-Lab was the first major incubator launched by Banca Intesa under the management of leadership of Victor Massiah. With €700 million in assets to invest in tech startups, it launches the first online trading and e-commerce platforms: Intesatrade, Fundsworld and Shoplà.

She later contributed to developing the bank's multichannel platform, supporting the growth of Internet banking, TV banking and Mobile banking.

In 2007, she joined Aon SpA, a multinational leader in insurance brokerage, working alongside Carlo Clavarino — currently Executive Chairman International Business — in Corporate Development. Initially focused on M&A, she closed over ten deals and later consolidated a significant portfolio of institutional clients. Within a few years, she joined Aon's Board of Directors, taking on the mandate for Financial Institutions and contributing to its leadership in the sector.

In 2023, she met Uljan Sharka, the founder of iGenius Spa, Italy’s first AI unicorn and a candidate to become a European leader in the field. She invests in iGenius and later takes on the role of Senior Advisor to promote the strategic technological independence of Made in Italy.
